Hi readers this week I made a story about the Taniwha of Porirua harbour. The story Is about him not knowing how to fly and a amazing creature was kind enough to help him.
I found it kind of easy because there was a lot of information about the taniwha which made it easy to write about him.

Today in reading I got to do a thing where I have a story and i have to say what is happening in that story with the clues in the story. I got to pick out of 3. I picked number 1. Hey readers! On Monday we started a writing for our dads,granddads,uncle or anyone that your spending fathers day with a letter we could do a comic,letter,story and others I decided to do a letter. Today in Te Reo Maori we had to do a video my buddy and I had to do a script with stationery we had to ask each other what is this in Maori and the other person has to say what it is in Maori as well. 2 weeks ago we had to make a profile about Sam Dickson he was a rugby 7s player in the Olympics.
i really enjoyed doing this about Sam Dickson because i really like sports so it inspired me a lot. I found it kind of challenging to find a lot of facts about him but i got there in the end. Do you know who Sam Dickson is? Here is my work
Today in Te reo Maori we had to make a copy of this google drawing and we had to remember from about 3 days ago and we had to label the stuff in the classroom but with the Maori words and the Maori colors. I found it really challenging to find the Maori words on my book and also i found it hard to try and label everything in the picture. Do you know most of the Maori words in this classroom? Today in reading my group had to do a Olympic reading sheet on our Chromebooks.
We had to make a copy of a google drawing and fill the work sheet out, its not like other work sheets because it has pictures that we had to put them in the category's, The category's are In water actives,On track and filed and In the gym. I think i got them all right Hopefully i don't have my hopes up. The thing that i found easy was the photos because they showed us what they were in and doing so that kind of gave it away, But nothing was really hard except the last one in the gym category i thought it might be in the gym or maybe on the track or field but i just went with the gym. I think maybe next time i should focus on not being so stressed if i got them wrong because i know i tried. Have you ever done something like this?

Today in reading my group is learning about this man that has went to the Olympics for long distance and his name is lydiard you might of heard of him because he has won a silver medal in long distance.

Today in math we had to do a pixel art. I have already done 2 other pixel arts but this one is different because this one is multiplication and the other 2 were pluses and take away. What i found easy was the questions that were easier but the hard questions were a little bit more complicated. Have you done these before?
Today in Miss Mclouds math group we had to do a math pixel art if you have looked at my blog you would of known that i have already done one so you would know what it is if you don't let me explain so a math pixel art is basically it is when there are math questions and you have to answer them and if you get the answer right it would turn green and also if you got it wrong it would turn red but also if it turned green it would also give you some pixels and when you have finished all of it it would turn into a emoji. What i found challenging was using a strategy but i did. Have you ever done a pixel art before?

Today in math i had to do a brain teaser. I found it really easy because all I had to do was work out the answers for the fruit and add them together. have you ever done a brain teaser? here it is
Today in math we had to do this math pixel art and we had to answer some math questions and if we got it right it would turn green and we if i got it wrong it would go red and i would have to keep trying. When i got it right it would add some pixels and when I,m finished all of the questions it would turn into a pixel art.

This is my work for reading there is some facts about a dinosaur. What i found easy was picking the dinosaur and what if found hard was finding facts about it. hope you like it.
The last couple of days in Mrs Jones writing we are writing about Pouāki the glutten. What i found easy was fingering out what to write but it was really hard to write it because my hands were getting so sore.Here is my writing.
Once upone a time there lived some people in a village and a evil bird that can’t stop eating people his name was Pouaki. Whenever he saw people he would swoop down and grab them with his claws and take then to his nest to fest on them one by one. Pouāki lived on mount tarlesse and the people lived in the Pā.
So Ruru the leader of all of the people thourght of an idea so he went to go tell the 40 best hunters to come and help him with his amazing idea and kill the the evil bird so they can eat and they can hunt for there food without getting eaten by him.
The men went back to their rooms and waited until it was night time so they could build their big cage for them to all fit in.
Once it was night they went oput to ruru and started making the cage and they knew it was going to take forever but they also knew if they work together it wont take as long as they think Once they finished the cage they bring it to the mountion and place it near a tree a little bit far away from the mountion. They waited for Pouāki to wake up as ruru needed to be the bait to get Pouāki to come over to the cage.
Then they saw Pouāki waking up they said go ruru you can do this you have got this so ruru went closer to Pouāki and stayed their making noise so he looked at ruru then when Pouāki saw him he swooped down and opened is claws to try and get ruru but ruru was to fast he was so close to the cage and the people opened the cage door to lket him in and bang Pouāki landed on top of the cage. He stuck his legs in to try and get them but they hacked his legs of and then he stuck his wings in and killed half the men but the other men hacked his wings off aswell and then Pouāki was dead.
They got so excited but they then Ruru decided to go up to his home to check if there was any babys to kill and when they got to the stairs they herd singing coming from the baby birds they are calling his dad/mum but they knew what they had to do they had to kill them and they lived happily ever after.
Last week in writing we had to retell a story about how the south island was made. What I found hard was trying to retell the story but what I found easy was writing the story here is my story.
One upone a time their was a man called Rangi the sky father, him and his wife had 4 kids the oldest
kids name is Aoraki and the 3 youngests are Rakiora, rakiura and lastly rarakiora.
Rangi the sky father loved another women papatunuka the earth mother. He wanted to meet her and
marry her so rangi went to the earth to meet her. The sons followed him in their waka and salied off to
see what was so good about papatunuka.
The boys keep trying to find land but everwhere they went all they saw was water but then a storm
happened they throught it was their father telling them to go home so aoraki the oldest brother decied
to chant a karakia that would lifed them back to their home in the sky/hevans.
But then Aorkai said the karakia wrong which made the waka sink not float back to their home in the
sky there was no way of getting out of the storm so they all decied to climb on top of the tipped waka
and it was so cold their hair turned white and the turned to stone. They are now called the sourthern elps
and the waka is the south island.
Yesterday we had to get into buddy's and I went with Bianca we had to get half a cup of water and pour it on a good space of the concrete outside and pour the water in one spot of the concrete and then wait for it to spreed then get your piece of chalk and draw around it and then wait 10 minutes then go back and see if it has shrunk and then once again outline the water then go back inside and then 10 minutes later outline it should be gone. Here it is
Today in reading we had to say why connections are so important in pepehas here is mine.
Today in writing we had to do a piece of writing to persuade people that people should not or should wear a helmet when they are scooting. I choose to persuade people that they should not wear a helmet when scootering here it is.
I strongly believe that wearing a helmet should not be a law. There aren't any serious reasons to wear a helmet while scootering.
Firstly, When people are scottering and they hurt themselves it won't hurt as much as falling off a bike because you will be very close to the ground. For example if you bump into a rock and you trip on your scooter and fall off you will only get a little graze.
Secondly, People are really careful when they are riding their scooters like when you are on a walk with your dog and your mum, you wanted to scooter you could but your mum might not want you going to far away from her which allows them not to go as fast so people will not fall of their scooter.
Finally, if you're going to the scooter track with your friends and they were the only person wearing a helmet the other people wouldn't think that he isn't cool or it could cause bullying and will make them not want to come to school.
In conclusion, It's obvious that people are safe and couldn't get badly hurt when they are scootering. I hope you understand and feel the same as me. Be a hero and don't force kids to wear a helmet when scottering.
